This incredible human fetal skull is in beautiful condition, and still retains the original mandible. This specimen was used on the film set of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986). This skull was used to create a mold, from which many castings were made and used on the set of the film. There is still some molding material in the eye sockets and fontanelle, which you can see in the photos. This skull comes from a roughly 38-week-old fetus. Fetal specimens in this outstanding condition are few and far between, especially with the amazing film provenance that this piece has. This extraordinary skull would be an impressive addition to any collection, and would prove to be a valuable reference for medical study or artistic inspiration. It is important to remember that this medical specimen was once a living fetus, that sadly, did not survive. Pieces like this are important to the medical world, and deserve the utmost respect.
