This damaged medical skull is somewhat heavy, due to its high bone density. There is a fair amount of damage to this specimen. There are several pieces missing from the frontal bone, as well as a hole just above the right orbit. There is a crack that runs through the frontal bone, which stops at the coronal suture. Most of the dentition is either missing or broken/chipped, and the mandible is missing. Surprisingly, the orbits are perfectly preserved. There is a small hole in the top of the calvarium, which indicates that this skull used to be part of a fully articulated skeleton. This specimen would be a perfect starter-skull for a new collector, and would be great for artistic reference.
