This marvelous human skull has a lovely, honey patina throughout, and features a strange discoloration on the maxilla. This type of discoloration is typically caused when bone is in long-term contact with copper; however, this instance is so concentrated and unusual in appearance that it is uncertain how exactly this was caused. The calvarium is uncut, and the mandible is unarticulated. Almost all of the dentition is present. The orbits and nasal cavity are in excellent condition overall. This unique specimen is quite stunning, and would make a captivating addition to any collection.
