This marvelous human skull has a stunning, aged patina. The calvarium is uncut, and the mandible is articulated on springs. A unique characteristic of this skull is that it has a persistent metopic suture; a feature that is typically only found in infants and children, but will occasionally persist into adulthood in rare cases. This specimen used to be part of a fully articulated skeleton at one point in time, as evidenced by the small hole in the top of the calvarium. This skull is absolutely spectacular, and would make a captivating addition to any collection.
