This gorgeous human skull exhibits enlarged parietal foramina, which is a condition characterized by the enlarged openings (called foramina) in the parietal bones. This is due to incomplete bone formation, and is quite a rare condition; estimated to be 1 in 50,000 individuals. This skull features a beautiful patina, and is quite heavy due to the dense bone throughout. All of the dentition is missing, aside from a single molar, and the mandible is missing. The orbits and nasal cavity are perfectly preserved. This stunning specimen would make an impressive addition to any rare medical collection, and would be perfect for anatomical reference and study.
