A beautiful Catholic devotional relic of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (1774-1821), the first person born in what would become the United States to be canonized by the Catholic Church. Relics consist of a tiny physical remnant of the individual, and are housed in a protective container, known as a reliquary. Objects like this have been preserved and venerated within Christianity for centuries. This relic is preserved within a small decorative metal reliquary. The back metal plate is removeable, which reveals the original, unbroken red wax seal. The reliquary sits inside the accompanied burgundy presentation display, which features a devotional portrait of St. Elizabeth Seton.

This appealing devotional and collectible object is an important part of American Catholic history, and makes for a lovely display piece.
