This incredible, high-grade medical specimen is in amazing condition. It features a uniquely cut calvarium, which is held in place with a very unusual latching mechanism. When opened, an interior chain prevents the calvarium from being completely removed (see last photo). The mandible is articulated on springs. The dentition is in excellent condition, while the orbits and nasal cavity are extremely well-preserved.  This gorgeous specimen would be an invaluable tool for anatomical study and reference, and would make a great addition to any collection.
