This extraordinary human skull was prepared by the legendary articulator, Darwin L. Platt. The original, hand-written label is still present on the occipital bone, as seen in the last photo. The left side of the maxilla and mandible have been cut-away to fully expose the dentition. The mandible is articulated on springs to allow for realistic movement. All of the dentition is present, though there are a few teeth which have been chipped. The calvarium is uncut. This gorgeous medical specimen is quite rare, and would make a stunning addition to any collection.
