This fantastic human skull has a lovely, aged patina. The calvarium is uncut, and the mandible is unarticulated. The orbits and nasal cavity are extremely well-preserved. Roughly half of the dentition is missing. The bone has good density throughout, which gives this piece some nice weight. There is an old, hand-written label on the back which reads, "821." Another unique feature of this specimen is that is has Eagle Syndrome (also referred to as stylohyoid syndrome). This rare condition is characterized by the unusual elongation of the styloid process. Both styloid processes are still present on this skull. This gorgeous specimen has many great features, and would make an impressive addition to any collection. It would be perfect for anatomical study and reference.
