This beautiful Linnaeus two-toed sloth has been expertly prepared and mounted. Also known as the southern two-toed sloth, this species of sloth is from South America, and is native to Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and parts of Brazil. Noted for their slow movement and low metabolism, sloths spend most of their lives hanging upside down in trees, as they are almost helpless on the ground. They only move when necessary, and with purpose, and average a speed of only 13 feet per minute. This gorgeous taxidermy sloth stands 26" tall, from the base to the tip of the branch, and about 21" in length (26" with base). Pieces like this are quite rare, especially in this outstanding condition. This impressive specimen would make a stunning display piece in any collection.
